Hello, HomeKeeper users! Each day, I am delighted to meet more of you and learn about your communities. The power and impact of HomeKeeper is exciting to me, and I’m glad to be here. I look forward to working with Tiffany, Valerie, and the other people who make HomeKeeper strong, including you.

To introduce myself, I wanted to answer a few questions that often come up when meeting someone new.

Where are you from? I was born and raised in suburban New Jersey. I attended a diverse public school that I could walk to,  and observed what it’s like when people’s homes are far or disconnected from resources. At college in Long Island, I got involved in social justice advocacy, and worked with student groups and local nonprofits to make my corner of the world more equitable. I now live in Portland, OR, where I enjoy life in a smaller city (including a great bus system and plenty of bike lanes).

What do you do (and why)? As a AmeriCorps VISTA, I managed volunteers in Trenton, NJ, and created an internship program for high school students to support their younger peers. Next, I taught digital literacy and life skills at the local Boys & Girls Club. These experiences taught me about the difficulties that occur when people cannot access lasting, affordable housing.
At Enterprise Community Partners, I supported the creation of housing opportunity, by driving Salesforce adoption. I started as a Salesforce user and was thrilled with how sharing and relating data can drive valuable insights. From automatic calculations to colorful dashboards, I love using Salesforce to inform decisions, and how a quick customization can make your process sing.

Where are you going? For me, joining the HomeKeeper team means I can further leverage Salesforce and related tools to make communities more secure. This will mean obtaining more funding, reporting accurately with ease, and of course, connecting folks with their new home.

I look forward to working with you! Please contact me at support@myhomekeeper.org.

Join me for an Office Hours session or another training opportunity.
I would be glad to see you at Intersections 2017!
