Julie Hillman, One Roof Community Housing
Prior to HomeKeeper, we had a number of different excel spreadsheets that individual employees would keep up on their own that pertained to their own needs. We also had a few different access databases that were created to keep track of housing units. However, the biggest challenge we had, prior to HomeKeeper, was determining what our data management practice should be. We spend an enormous amount of time trying to track and locate data.
When I printed the first report and showed it to our finance director she was thrilled, indicating it was the best and most precise information that we have ever had in one report.
While the transition to Homekeeper has been painful (and is still ongoing), the pain is all worthwhile. Once I entered enough information to create a report, I knew in an instant that the work was extremely worthwhile. I focused on entering all of our opportunities and when I printed the first report and showed it to our finance director she was thrilled, to say the least, indicating it was the best and most precise information that we have ever had in one report. We look forward to the day that HomeKeeper is running our entire organization.
If you are an organization that has to track large amounts of information related to affordable housing, please do not give HomeKeeper a second thought – Just Do It!
If you are an organization that has to track large amounts of information related to affordable housing, please do not give HomeKeeper a second thought – Just Do It! The amount of administrative time it will save you in the end will be worth your while – especially when you have to fill out all of those government reports that ask endless questions. HomeKeeper will have all the answers you need.
