It’s that time of year again! You’ve probably been getting all kinds of excited emails from Salesforce about their latest release. Although these can sometimes come with cool new features, for the most part, HomeKeeper users will be minimally impacted by the quarterly Salesforce release. Here’s why…

HomeKeeper is an app built on the Salesforce platform. You can think of it as a smartphone – Salesforce being be the phone, HomeKeeper being an app on that phone. Occasionally, your phone comes out with system updates. These updates are totally separate from any updates that an app may release. As we all know, occasionally these broader updates can affect an app’s performance, but don’t worry, if that ever happens with your HomeKeeper app, you’ll hear it from us first!

All of this is not to say that you can’t take advantage of updates to Salesforce. If you have HomeKeeper, you have Salesforce, so it might be worth checking out the Salesforce’s release notes for new features, functions, and upgrades you may want to use. Check out the comments below for our recommendations!

At HomeKeeper, we put out our own release updates that impact (always aiming to improve) your app’s performance and security. HomeKeeper users should be sure to check that you’re on the latest sure to check that you’re on the latest version, and if you haven’t done so already, upgrade to version 2.5!
